of a Positive Mind

Just as we are required to improve and maintain our physical fitness, we need to develop our mental fitness, too

Mental fitness is your capacity to respond to life’s challenges with a positive mindset, rather than a negative one. Because of neuroplasticity – i.e. the ability for our brains to grow and rewire by creating new neural pathways – we are able to build mental muscles, just as we can build physical muscles through exercise.

Our Peak Performance of a Positive Mind programme will help you build core mental muscles that enable you to:

  • Respond to life's challenges with a positive mindset

  • Access peak performance

  • Gain peace of mind

  • Build healthy relationships

  • Thrive through challenge and change.

We'll help you build your mental fitness with a 7-week programme, predominantly delivered through the Positive Intelligence* (PQ) app. You will receive weekly video lessons, guided exercises to build your mental muscles, and weekly group coaching sessions led by our coaches to help you reflect and explore further. You will also receive a personal saboteur assessment and weekly support emails. 

​

We will then support your performance, wellbeing and ongoing mental fitness development with one-to-one coaching sessions throughout the remainder of your annual programme.

​

*Positive Intelligence is a programme developed by Shirzad Chamine, a best-selling author, leading executive coach and Stanford lecturer. During your PQ programme, we’ll connect you to fellow learners via the app, helping you stay accountable as you discover more through the benefit of shared learning and experiences.

What's Included?

​Over the 7-week Positive Intelligence course, strengthening your mental muscles for just 15 minutes a day will build the neural pathways to shift your mindset. It will give you the foundation to thrive in the areas of your life that matter most to you. During the programme, you'll have:

  • The first 8 chapters of bestselling book, Positive Intelligence, by Shirzad Chamine

  • An accountability pod of fellow learners to share learning and encourage progress

Developing mental fitness is beneficial for everyone, irrespective of whether your goals are personal, professional or a combination of both. It will help you improve your ‘whole life’ performance, as you increase your self-awareness and self-command muscles, learn to recognise and intercept mental saboteurs, and move to clear, focused action.

Saboteurs & Sage

One of the keys to mental fitness is to strengthen the muscles that enable us to weaken our internal saboteurs. These saboteurs – for example, the judge, the controller, the victim and the avoider – are unhelpful behaviours or limiting beliefs that will have served us at some point in the past (e.g. in childhood), but which now get in the way of us developing and delivering positive actions. 

​

Everyone has saboteurs and feeling the negative emotions caused by them, such as stress, anxiety, self-doubt, frustration, guilt and unhappiness, is not in itself a bad thing. However, given that they no longer serve us as well as positive emotions, we can use our saboteurs as alerts that prompt us to shift to a positive response as quickly as possible.

​

Building our mental fitness helps us identify the patterns of behaviour that limit us, so we can intercept our saboteurs and activate our sage – the part of the brain which produces positive emotions, such as empathy, curiosity, creativity, calm, and clear, laser-focused action. It helps us make better decisions, perform better under pressure and achieve greater happiness and fulfilment in life.

 

The programme will give you the tools to learn to shift from negative emotions and actions to the positive responses that serve you most powerfully.

As an approved provider, we deliver Positive Intelligence as the foundation for our Mental Fitness for a Positive Mind programme. We offer the programme to individuals, who we can place into an accountability and learning pod for the course, as well as to pre-existing teams.

Once you sign up with us, you will receive access to the Positive Intelligence app for the duration of the programme (with an option to extend this), and you will benefit from coach-led discussion sessions to further enhance your learning and deepen your discoveries. *Your free Saboteur Assessment is offered by Positive Intelligence on their own web platform. Once you have completed your assessment and signed up for your results, Positive Intelligence will send you a series of emails, including your results. These are not marketing emails, but they will help to personalise your experience and ensure you tackle your main saboteurs in your Peak Performance of a Positive Mind programme. The emails will last around one month and will provide ideas for dealing with your saboteurs and shifting to a positive mindset.

 

Your results will only be shared with us when you sign up to the Peak Performance of a Positive Mind programme through us, although you can of course choose to share your results with us at any time.
